Privacy Policy

Audio Upscaler: HD Voice ("the App") is published by Bulpara, Inc. ("we", "us", "our"). This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the App.
1. Your Recordings & Audio Files
- Your audio never leaves your device. All upscaling — both the bundled Standard HD model and the optional Studio HD model — runs on-device using Core ML on the Apple chip.
- The App does not upload, transmit, stream, or store your recordings on our servers. We have no servers that receive user audio.
- Original and upscaled files live in the App's sandbox on your iPhone, and are removed when you delete the App or the corresponding history entry.
- If you choose to share an upscaled file via the iOS share sheet (Messages, Mail, AirDrop, Files, etc.), you control where it goes — we do not see it.
2. Data We Store Locally
- Upscale history: File paths, durations, the model used, and timestamps for each job. Stored locally via SwiftData.
- Preferences: Default model, wet/dry blend, export format, theme, and other settings. Stored locally in UserDefaults.
- Daily usage counter: A local counter that resets at midnight to enforce the free-tier daily limit. No counter data is transmitted off-device.
- Purchase status: Subscription state is managed by Apple's StoreKit and cached locally for feature gating.
3. The Studio HD Model Download
Studio HD is an optional, higher-fidelity model available to Premium subscribers. The first time you use it, the App downloads the model file once from our content delivery network and caches it on your device, then verifies its integrity.
- This download transfers only the model file to your device. No audio, recordings, or personal data are uploaded in the process.
- After the one-time download, Studio HD upscaling runs entirely on-device, the same as Standard HD.
4. Permissions We Request
- Microphone: Only when you tap to record a new clip in the App. We do not record in the background or while the App is closed.
- Photo Library (read-only): Only when you choose to import a video clip. We access only the clip you select via the iOS PhotosPicker — we do not enumerate your library.
- Files / iCloud Drive: Only the audio file you explicitly pick is imported into the App's sandbox.
5. Advertising (Free Tier Only)
Free-tier users see banner and interstitial ads served by Google AdMob. To support this, the App uses Google's Mobile Ads SDK and User Messaging Platform (consent) SDK:
- These SDKs may collect a device identifier (Device ID / IDFA) used for advertising and, where you allow it, ad personalization.
- On first launch the App shows Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, ads are served in non-personalized mode.
- Your audio recordings and upscaled files are never shared with AdMob or any ad network.

Premium subscribers see no ads and trigger no AdMob or tracking requests.
6. Third-Party Services
- Apple App Store / StoreKit: Manages subscriptions and purchases. Governed by Apple's privacy policy.
- Google AdMob & User Messaging Platform (free tier only): Displays ads and manages ad consent, as described in Section 5.
7. Data Storage and Security
- All recordings, upscaled files, history, and preferences are stored locally on your device.
- No audio data or device-identifiable audio content is transmitted to or stored on our servers.
- Purchase verification uses Apple's secure StoreKit framework.
- The App's core upscaling feature works completely offline (after the optional Studio HD model has been downloaded once).
8. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your audio recordings with any third party. On the free tier, Google's advertising SDKs may collect a device-level identifier for ad serving (Section 5); audio content is always excluded.
9. Your Rights
You can:
- Delete individual upscaled clips from the History tab inside the App
- Delete the App to remove all local recordings, history, and preferences
- Disable Microphone and Photo access, and revoke tracking, from iOS Settings at any time
- Upgrade to Premium to remove all ads and advertising SDK activity

10. Children's Privacy
The App is rated 4+ and is not intended for use by children under 13. The App does not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
